40 Things About Me

So I’ve seen this before and thought it was pretty cool..and some other bloggers recommend doing it…so here goes…

Whether you’ve known me since I was born or just saw me on the internet the other day…here’s some stuff you may not know about me…and maybe some stuff you do.

1. I’m terrified of scuba diving. One of my good friends is a big diver and has tried to convince me to do it..but I just can’t. Tooo scary. I guess I should try it to overcome the fear. Any suggestions?
2. I had a crush on my cousin Danny when I was 10. I know…Yuck! But I was 10!
3. I’m a total conspiracy theorist. I believe in the Illuminati, elite, new world order, 9/11 conspiracy, food/water control, oppression of the people and that we ARE losing our freedom but it’s marketed so well…we can’t even see it. And no, I have no idea what’s gong to happen in 2012..but I think it may be something more along the lines of consciousness.
4. The biggest thing on my bucket list is to make a full length documentary. Right now I’m learning and honing my movie making skills…as small and insignificant as they are…one day I will accomplish this dream.
5. When I was 2 I was fluent in French. I mean how many words do you actually know when you’re 2? But I would love to speak better Spanish.
6. I put myself (100%) through post secondary school. Five years. Something I’m sort of proud of, considering I was 20-25 years old and responsible enough to do that without financial assistance from mom & pop.
7. I love a fresh snowfall but I can’t stand winter. This one is pretty obvious. Who agrees with me?
8. When I was young, I wanted to be a truck driver. Driving a big rig, pulling the horn for all the little kids egging me on from the back seat of their cars…..yee…haw…
9. I won a colouring contest when I was (I think) 6. It was one of the best days of my life.
10. I love movies. I watch at least least 1 a week. Preferably documentary or independent films. I can’t stand romantic comedies.
11. I’m passionate about business and marketing. If you’re my friend on Facebook, follow me on Twitter or read my blog, then you probably already know this.
12. I’m losing my religion. Actually I can’t stand religion…but I do believe in spirituality. A little new age, I know. I was raised as a Pentecostal Christian. If my mom reads this, I know she’ll cringe.
13. I ran away from home at age 15. It’s a long story….but I survived and still thrive.
14. I didn’t share my bubble gum with my friend Michelle at age 8 even though I told my Mom I did. Sorry Mom. Yikes :0
15. I spend way too much time learning. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?.
16. I can’t read fiction. It’s just such a waste of time and life’s too short.
17. I’m a bit of a health freak. The last 4 years I’ve read and studied a lot of “non mainstream” information and my opinion of health is not on the beaten path.
18. My favourite movies are: Pretty Woman (the one and ONLY romantic comedy I like), Blair Witch & Quantum of Solace (primarily because of Daniel Craig).
19. My favourite drink is the Mojito. My favourite Mojito is the version in Raw Food Real World.
20. I read the ingredients of almost every thing I buy. Like I said in #2 above, I’m a bit of a health freak. Don’t hate me for that :0
21. I covered my hair in glue in Grade 12. I know..absolutely crazy. I read in a book that to get rid of frizzies, put flour and water in your hair. So I did. Took my BFF Amy 12 hours to get it out. We still laugh about it today. What a geek I was.
22. I believe happiness is a choice. This is something I just discovered but I think about it every day.
    
23. I don’t spend enough time with my friends. To all my friends reading this…I’m sorry. Don’t give up on me.
24. I’m a vegetarian. But I love cheese too much to be vegan.
25. I’m a network marketer. Ya you know that pyramid thing, MLM, all that nasty preconceived notion stuff…but don’t worry I won’t be calling you to attend an opportunity meeting or take a look at my presentation. I build that business by letting people find me on the internet. It’s much sweeter.
26. My favourite music is dance. I also love Caribbean music (steel drums), Mediterranean and jazz.
27. I took modeling classes in my teens. Never did much with it.
28. I took acting classes in my 20′s. Never did much with that either.
29. I saw a palm reader once. “Two kids & married” Isn’t that what happens to most people so she had 90% chance of being right. I guess the 10% is that I only had one kid.
30. My license plate says ONDROX. Can you guess what it means?
31. I think consensual crimes create an oppressive society. If you don’t know what I mean, read this book.
32. The one thing I can’t live without is artistic creativity.
33. I love it when my dog licks my feet. Sounds gross huh? It’s nice..you should try it sometime. It’s like therapy.
34. I have a secret desire to get rid of everything I own (except my Mac) and go live in a tree house by the ocean. Now wouldn’t that be nice? You can come and visit.
    
35. I believe there is already a cure for cancer. And I adamantly refuse to support any charity where funds are given to pharmaceutical research.
36. If I could have one super human power it would be to fly. I think that would be the freakin’ most coolest thing to do.
37. I used to have a recurring dream that I was in a dark parking lot with a single telephone booth and my car wouldn’t start. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get through on the phone to call for help. My friend John said it might be an inability to communicate. I would agree with that interpretation.
38. I was bit by a pig once.
39. I’m not a real blond. But I do have a natural blond streak…interpret that how ever you’d like..I’m ok with it.
